Safety & Care

The well-being and safety of our Customers and Employees is our first priority. 

We are continuously  following relevant health department guidelines as well as having our staff fully vaccinated.

As such, we are also closely monitoring CDC guidance and will adjust our stance accordingly.

Covid-19 Event procedures

With COVID-19 still in our environment, we may close and reopen if quarantine is required.

If an employee has symptoms or tested positive prior to or on the event date, we will inform the customer and offer alternative options.

We will require customers that have Covid-19 related symptoms or tested positive, to notify us of the issue as soon as possible, not limited to a day of diagnosis. . We reserve the right  to reschedule or suggest a rental curbside drop off option with relevant setup instructions.

Our rights

-Chookha staff are not able to stay to assist an event during the party time.

-In-person meetings are not offered during the Pandemic.

-Our setup up package includes our initial set-up of decorations, and a return to the office or outside remote location until time of  breakdown of the event.

-Our staff will wear masks during the event setup.

-Customers and their guests must  practice social distancing and wear masks as much as possible whether the event is indoor or outdoor when interacting with our staff.

-Customers and their guests cannot ask our staff to remove the masks during the event whether the event is indoor or outdoor.

Resolution options due to quarantine with Covid-19
Cancellation / Refund
14-8 days prior to the event

When Chookha and Customers both agree to cancel the event due to Covid-19 issue, customers can request cancellation of the reservation before the event.

A full refund is available when there is no design work or purchasing from other vendors.
If there is any design work or purchasing from other vendors at the time of request, there will be a deduction of the amount of work/purchasing from the paid amount.

 

7 days -1 day prior to the event

When Chookha and Customers both agree to cancel the event due to Covid-19 issue, customers can request cancellation of the reservation before the event.

The 70% of payment will be refunded when there are no design work or purchasing from other vendors.
If there is any design work or purchasing from other vendors at the time of request, there will be a deduction of the amount of work/purchasing from the refund amount.

Refund is not available.

If the cancellation is requested by Chookha, a full refund is available regardless of the timeline.

Reschedule
14-8 days prior to the event

When Chookha and Customers both agree to reschedule the event due to Covid-19 issue, a customer may request a new desired date unless already booked within 2 months. There is no rescheduling fee.

7 days -1 day prior to the event

When Chookha and Customers both agree to reschedule the event due to Covid-19 issue, may request a new desired date unless already booked within 2 months. There is a $200 rescheduling fee.

If the rescheduling is requested by Chookha, there is no rescheduling fee regardless of the timeline.

Switch to a rental plan

When Chookha and Customers both agree to reschedule the event due to Covid-19 issue, customer requests to switch plan to a rental option. Depending on the plan that customers reserve, the paid invoice will be updated to a rental plan that matches their setup plan.

Delivery/Pick up may be available with an additional fee. There will be a deposit($150 and up) for a rental plan. Deposit will be refunded after the rental is returned (After an inspection).
